Trustee Board

A community with a common goal

Our Trustee Board has executive responsibility for the effective management and administration of the Group, in line with The Scout Association's Policy, Organisation and Rules.

Volunteering in Scouting isn't just working directly with young people. Many roles behind the scenes support the Group and keep our programme running.

Trustees are either elected by the Group's members or co-opted by the Board. They make sure the Group is run within the law, that its finances are managed properly, that its activities are carried out safely and responsibly, and that the welfare of its members is protected at all times.

The Board is headed by the Group Chair and holds the Group Lead Volunteer to account for the management of the Group. It meets regularly to make decisions on behalf of the Group's members.
